Somerville Lofts

This city originally was part of Charlestown back in the 1600’s and was referred to as “beyond the neck”.  Somerville has now grown to become a diverse and lovely place full of tree lined streets, recreational delights such as biking, and canoeing, delicious food and unique bars and shops. Ease of commuting creates an overall package of loving living!

Brickbottom Artists Building
Neighborhood Union Square | Number of Units 155 | Year Built 1940

A group of artists bought this building from a grocery store chain back in 1988. It houses the largest nationally recognized artists community under one roof. Now you will find both artists and residents occupying this space! There is a working artists gallery, an enclosed common courtyard, and a common laundry facility. The building is located in the inner belt near East Cambridge and Union and Sullivan Squares in Somerville. This location is amazing!
